Statement from local nurse:

“I am a Registered Nurse at  Des Peres Hospital in suburban St. Louis County.  Our nurses were formerly represented by National Nurses Organizing Committee of Missouri.  The Union was “voted in” after making a lot of promises to the nurses that were never achieved.

I assisted in the effort to decertify the Union in 2016—and we were successful in voting the Union out!

We  went through some challenges in decertifying the Union—but it was definitely worth it because, after the union was gone,  the atmosphere of the hospital became much better as we were better able to work  as a team—— without paying dues.”
